About Data.gov Catalog Discovery
Connect a free api.data.gov key and search the live GSA Data.gov v4 catalog route by a bounded phrase. ParcelOps returns normalized dataset, publisher, rights, license, and distribution metadata, but never follows distribution or landing-page URLs. Each dataset’s Access & Use Information remains controlling. Because GSA’s current published OpenAPI does not describe the live v4 route, only the verified first-page q + limit request is exposed.

Open Claude settings
Launch Claude, click the profile button (bottom left), and go to Settings.

Access connectors
Open the Connectors tab, scroll to the bottom, and click “Add custom connector”.

Name your connector
Enter any name you’d like for this connector.

Get the connector URL
Log in to ParcelOps, open the /mcp page, and copy the connector URL you want to use.

Add the connector
Paste the URL into the “Remote MCP server URL” box and click Add.
