How many acres is this property?

Most offices carry two acreage numbers for the same parcel: the acreage written into the legal description, and the acreage computed from the mapped shape. They disagree, and on rural land they disagree often. ParcelOps returns both where both exist, labels which is which, and names the office publishing them, so a gap between the two is visible instead of averaged into one confident figure. Neither number settles a boundary. That is what a survey is for.

Parcel level, as published. The mapped shape is a tax mapping product, not a plat.

Where this answer comes from.

Each of these has its own page naming the office that publishes it, how often it updates, and what it cannot answer. Rebuilt from the ParcelOps source directory on September 9, 2026.

  • US Public Parcels

Points to the official parcel source for every US state, DC, and inhabited territory. The same query format works wherever ParcelOps has checked a public source.

  • Texas Statewide Parcels

Official statewide Texas parcel lookup from the Texas Geographic Information Office. Fields include the address on the tax record, owner, value, land use, and tax year where published.

  • Florida Statewide Parcels

Statewide 2025 parcel attributes and geometry for all 67 Florida counties.

  • BLM Public Land Survey System

Official PLSS township, range, section, meridian, and survey geometry.

Would answer this, not connected yet.

These sit in the same part of the ParcelOps directory and are not live, so they add nothing to the answer above today. They are named because a page that hides the unfinished half of itself is the thing this whole family is arguing against: Spain Cadastre INSPIRE, France Cadastre, UK Land Registry INSPIRE.

Where this stops.

The part a search result will not tell you, and the part worth reading before this answer goes into a decision.

  • A mapped parcel boundary is drawn for tax administration. It is not evidence of where a fence, a corner, or a right of way sits.
  • Some offices publish one acreage figure and some publish none. ParcelOps returns what is there rather than computing a substitute and presenting it as a record.
