Who is behind the company that owns this property?

When the owner on the tax roll is an entity, the next step is public filings, and they sit in registries that do not share an identifier. ParcelOps resolves a name across federal securities filings, the global legal entity register including direct and ultimate parent links, federal contractor registrations, and the Texas franchise tax and sales permit files, and returns what each source actually holds with its own identifier attached. What comes back is what was filed. It is not proof of who controls the company today.

Entity records per registry, keyed by whatever identifier that registry uses.

Where this answer comes from.

Each of these has its own page naming the office that publishes it, how often it updates, and what it cannot answer. Rebuilt from the ParcelOps source directory on September 9, 2026.

Where this stops.

The part a search result will not tell you, and the part worth reading before this answer goes into a decision.

  • Most state business registries are not published in a form anyone can query at scale, so coverage runs deep in a few places and thin across the rest.
  • Beneficial ownership is largely not public. A registered agent and an officer list name the people who signed, not the people with the economic interest.
  • A name match across two registries is a lead until an identifier, an address, or a filing confirms it, and near matches are common with holding company naming.
  • Securities filings exist only for companies that carry a filing obligation, which leaves out almost every private entity that holds property.
